I am a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and doctor of nursing practice. I graduated from New York University with my bachelor’s degree in psychology and child and adolescent mental health studies. I then completed my MSN at Columbia University and worked as a pediatric RN and PMHNP intern at a health and social services agency in New York City. I completed clinical training in reproductive psychiatry with Rebecca Feldman, while completing my doctoral studies. I also co-created and co-facilitate our weekly support group for Black/Latinx parents.
I taught Developmental Psychology as an assistant professor at Columbia University for 3 years. I am now a tenure-track assistant professor of Graduate Nursing at Pace University. I am focusing my research on reproductive psychiatry and perinatal families, and bringing research opportunities to the Brooklyn Parent Support community as Research Director.
I prioritize holistic self-exploration to guide healing and treatment. I believe medication management is only one piece of the puzzle. I utilize various therapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy and interpersonal therapy. I am committed to providing culturally competent and sensitive care that considers the intersectionality of my client’s experiences and empowers them to take an active role in reaching their potential. We are on this journey together, thus, I rely on a patient-centered, collaborative, and shared-decision making approach. Babies are always welcome when we meet for medication management or therapy!
I am in network with United, Oxford, Oscar, Aetna, & Cigna.
