Mental health care for parents and parents to be. Se habla español!
I am a board certifed psychiatric nurse practitioner and doctor of nursing practice. I graduated from New York University with my bachelor’s degree in psychology and child and adolescent mental health studies. I then completed my MSN at Columbia University and worked as a pediatric RN and PMHNP intern at a health and social services agency in New York City. I completed clinical training in reproductive psychiatry with Rebecca Feldman, while completing my doctoral studies. Currently, I teach Developmental Psychology as an assisant professor at Columbia University. I also co-created and co-facilitate our weekly support group for Black/Latinx parents.
I prioritize holistic self-exploration to guide healing and treatment. I believe medication management is only one piece of the puzzle. I utilize various therapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy and interpersonal therapy. I am committed to providing culturally competent and sensitive care that considers the intersectionality of my client’s experiences and empowers them to take an active role in reaching their potential. We are on this journey together, thus, I rely on a patient-centered, collaborative, and shared-decision making approach. Babies are always welcome when we meet!
I am in network with United, Oxford, Oscar, Aetna, Cigna, and BCBS.
