Mental health care for parents and parents to be. Se habla español!
I'm Meg (she/they) and I’m a queer psychiatric nurse practitioner. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Connecticut and my graduate degree in psychiatric mental health nursing from Pace University. I have 8 years of nursing experience working in a wide variety of perinatal and pediatric settings. I also obtained my international board certification as a lactation consultant in June 2020.
I became an advocate for reproductive psychiatry during my time working in hospitals, where I saw firsthand the gaps in support for parents and families. This passion led me to pursue specialized training in perinatal psychiatry during my Master of Science program. I completed a year of clinical training at Brooklyn Parent Support, where I managed a caseload of perinatal patients under the training of Gabrielle Ranger-Murdock, PMHNP and Rebecca Feldman, CNM, PMHNP. I facilitated the weekly perinatal support group, and also established and continue to lead the weekly LGBTQIA+ parent support group.
I aim to offer a space where all healing preferences and identities are honored. You are the expert of your own journey, and I'm here to support you in working towards your goals.
