Katie is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Villanova University, and her Masters of Nursing at CUNY Hunter.
Katie's nursing career has spanned several areas of women's health, including experiences with obstetrics and fertility treatments. Her years as an IVF nurse gave her a deep appreciation for the emotional complexities of family building and highlighted the need for compassionate, specialized mental health support throughout the reproductive journey.
These experiences inspired her to pursue advanced training in psychiatry so she could better care for the mental health needs of the patients and families she served. During her clinical training, Katie gained experience across a variety of psychiatric settings, including a high-acuity inpatient psychiatric unit at Harlem Hospital.
Katie is deeply committed to supporting individuals through all stages of reproductive and parental mental health, including preconception, infertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood. She provides evidence-based, holistic care that considers the biological, psychological, social, and cultural factors that shape each person's experience. Her approach emphasizes collaboration, empathy, and empowering patients to make informed decisions that align with their values and goals.
